

This is a non-competitive but adjudicated section, and the aim is to encourage schools and groups to come and dance.
This event is the only highland dancing team competition to be held in the world. Seventeen areas throughout Scotland are represented by a team of six dancers who have qualified by their performance at a selected championship or event held the previous year. This is a spectacular team event which decides the most successful area of highland dancing in Scotland.
This competition is open to Dance Schools who won a first or second prize in the Choreography competitions in the previous year.
This competition is held in Atlantis Leisure and starts in the main hall with all the Premier Confined to Argyll and the Western Isles. The main Highland Dancing entry form and syllabus details all classes, dances and prizes.
This is a most spectacular team event with the highest standard of choreographed highland dancing and fantastic costumes being enjoyed by a capacity audience. Teams of dancers compete for the prestigious title using innovative dance routines incorporating traditional highland dancing steps. Participants make full use of sound. lighting, costume, scenery and special effects to create a spectacle worthy of national recognition.
