 HIGHLANDS & ISLANDS PRE-PREMIER COMPETITION SATURDAY 30TH MARCH 2019, ATLANTIS LEISURE, OBAN

Good luck to all Pre-Premier competitors tomorrow. The Festival Committee are delighted to confirm our judges for the Pre-Premier competition will be: Nicola Glover, Dumbarton, Theresa Kelly, Stirling, Dorothy Young, Edinburgh.

Order of Dances:
Flora MacDonald (4 steps), Scottish Lilt (4 steps). 16 Pas-De-Basque, Pas-De-Basque & Highcuts, Highland Fling (4 steps), Sword Dance (2/1), Sean Truibhas (3/1), Hullachan (half), Special Fling (4 steps) (Beginners and Novice), Special Barracks (4 steps) (Intermediate)

Station A: Primary 5 years & under, Beginners 7 years & under Novice 8 years & under, Intermediate 9 years & under

Station B: Primary 6 years, Beginners 8 & 9 years Novice 11 years & over, Intermediate 10 years

Station C: Beginners 10 years & over, Novice 9 & 10 years Intermediate 11 years & over

Competitors please note:
Competitor numbers and two wristbands, one for the dancer and one for an accompanying adult were posted first class on Tuesday 25th March 2019. Additional wristbands can be bought at the door on Saturday. Stewards will insist on spectators wearing their wristbands, dancers must have wristbands although we understand they will not be worn whilst competing.

Management at Atlantis Leisure have requested that all corridors in Atlantis Leisure are kept clear. Changing areas will be available throughout the day and will be clearly sign posted. Stewards will be in attendance throughout the day, dancers changing in the corridors will be asked to move to the changing areas provided. Please do not take dancing mats to Atlantis Leisure, a warm up area will be available within the main hall.

Only Sports Capped Water Bottles will be allowed into the Main Hall at Atlantis Leisure Centre, NO FOOD OR OTHER DRINKS CAN BE TAKEN INTO THE MAIN HALL.

S.O.B.H.D Current Registration Cards must be shown prior to dancers competing. All competitors are asked to comply with the S.O.B.H.D. Code of Ethics.

 Monday 11th March - Music Entries close today

Today is the final day we can accept entries for any of the Music competitions. This is also the final day for returning Scottish Area Finals invites. Entries for the Scottish Choroegraphy Challenge and the Highlands & Islands Pre-Premier competition on Saturday 30th March 2019 and the Highlands & Islands Premier competition on Saturday 5th May 2019 will close next Monday - Monday 18th March.

On Friday 3rd May the only competitions are Action Song, Primary Choirs, Primary Recorder, Primary Folk Group and Primary Instrumental Ensemble. All solo competitions are on Saturday 4th May.

Pre-Premier compete at Atlantis Leisure on Saturday 30th March 2019.

Premier and Premier Confined to Argyll, Bute & the Western Isles compete in Atlantis Leisure Centre on Sunday 5th May 2019. Please read infomation on Events & Classes and Entry Conditions from the competitors section before completing entry.

Premier Confined to Argyll, Bute & the Western Isles dancers, please note Conditions of Entry No 12. If entering both sections please enter main Premier Section when entering class number in Section 1 - Select Events. Please type Premier Confined in the dance box. Entry fee for both classes £21. We will be in touch by email to confirm entry to both classes and the dances you will be competiting in each of the classes and how to pay the additional £5 entry fee.
